Here's a beautiful pair of princess cut diamond earrings.

In diamonds, color makes a huge difference in the price. although this is a beautiful pair of earrings, they do not match exactly.  When it comes to earrings, this is generally not such a big deal, if the stones are complementary and look pretty close.  After all, there will be a head between them.

  Still, these ultra-close-up detail photos, will allow me to show you the differences in the color of the two diamonds

Can you see the difference?

Tell you what... if you can guess which one is the J and which one is the K, we will give you the earrings for free.  Of course, the entry fee in the contest is $4275.  Okay that was mean- my feeble attempt at humor.

Seriously, in the photos, the difference in color is clear to my eye.  The stone on the right has slightly more color than the stone on the left.

Look at the video, and I think you get a better idea of how they look in real life.

In optimum conditions: such as holding them under a Diamond Lamp, or bright lights such as we use for the photography, I can see the difference.

However  in normal room lighting from a few feet away such as arms length, I can't see the difference.

If these photos discourage you from buying the earrings, they have served their purpose.  Because some people will not be bothered by this, and others will.  If you fall into the first group we would rather show you a pair of earrings in a higher color range.  Of course, if we went to a higher color range, and did not drop the clarity, the price would be a couple of thousand more.

Anyway, if you like these photos and video, you will love the earrings in person.  They are gorgeous!

The ear rings come to us courtesy of our old friend Sam Spade.  It's getting harder and harder to find such diamonds nowadays.

 Of course he, like I, is a stickler for "Make"- which means the cut of a diamond.

  Everyone will notice how well cut these diamonds are.

 

 

 

We prefer friction backs on the earrings.  We use a nice heavy "nut". That's the part that clasps the earring from the back. These are very durable, and secure.

It's easy to feel when the back loosens up. If you put them on and take them off a lot, any nut, either screw back, or friction- is going to loosen up.

With a friction back, if you feel it getting loose, you can simply squeeze the nut back together.

 If you prefer screw backs, we will change them free of charge.
