The loose
stone
The cut of
this diamond is quite unique.
Reminiscent
of an older cut, the stone has a lot of glitter.
It's shallow
compared to most modern cushions. One effect of this is that it looks well over
2 carats in face up size . It's an "honest cut" you can see right into the
diamond.
As you can
see in some of the photos- the one below especially so- the diamond has a
noticeable ( sometimes) tint. I like this aspect to the diamond. It's quite
interesting, visually. A good thing, to me.
The diamond
has an EGL report calling it L/Internally Flawless.
We've always
advocated having a GIA report on stones. As of this writing, we have submitted
the diamond to GIA, and await the results.
THE RING
It's a
lovely piece- the design suits the center stone perfectly. Consistent with the
appearance loose, it shows more color in some lighting situations. Always lively
though.
The ring is
a "Factory Second". As shown below there are a few rough areas on the outer line
of the halo.
Our factory
will be going over the ring, and effecting repairs.
There may be
some evidence of the repair when we're done. I have a feeling they'll be able to
do a very good job- and the ring will e guaranteed for workmanship. In ay event,
the ring is offered for the cost of diamonds only- saving the buyer over a
thousand dollars.
