1.06ct. Natural Fancy Intense Yellow Round Brilliant Cut Diamond

Ever wonder why round is rarely seen in a Natural Fancy Intense Yellow diamond like this one. Radiant cut, and cushion cut are much more commonly seen- although any diamond rated Fancy Intense Yellow by the GIA is pretty rare.

The reason round yellows are so rare has to do with this style of cutting. The Round Brilliant model is not very conducive for reflecting the yellow color... although this one does show its color amazingly well.

Quite remarkable too, is the purity of the yellow. It is a bright pure yellow with no brown are orange hints. That makes it quite rare....even in the rarefied world of yellow rounds! This purity of color also makes it a very desirable diamond.

The GIA color origin report does not specify color. I have graded the Diamond I1 clarity, and the reason is clear in these pictures.

as you can see in these ultra-close-up photos, the imperfections are a small series of white feathers... well they would be white if they weren't yellow. What you WON'T see is any black imperfection. That means that the diamond in person, without the aid of a loupe is pretty much eye clean. This makes it a desirable I1 diamond.
