 Here is a beautiful
Radiant cut diamond. The shape is a broad rectangle with well proportioned corners corners. The cut is great for sparkle and lively appearance. The color has been graded Fancy
Yellow by IGI. We've been fairly vocal in our support for GIA- and have on many occasions shown large discrepancies possible with non GIA labs.
Having said that - if a diamond is a good value, with or without the report - the report itself does not make the diamond "bad".
In this case, we agree with IGI grading. Comparing it to other stones contained in the tray below, it sure looks like a Fancy yellow to me.
The SI2 is a good call as well- it's on the bottom of the stone - very difficult to find with a loupe - but it is there.
We bought the entire tray of stones shown below. 21 in all- ranging from .40-.72cts. The three stones with IGI reports are all lovely stones.
The fact we bought all 21 stones gave us a lot of leverage on the price.
