There is an hierarchy in the diamond business. Traditionally, cutters would buy the diamonds from the miners, cut them, and sell them to Diamond wholesalers. They would in turn sell the diamond jewelry stores, who would sell them to the consumer. The Internet has changed the way many people buy their diamonds. Formerly, this company was involved in selling diamonds to jewelry stores. Now we sell them directly to folks like you.
Price is not the only advantage offered to the consumer by this arrangement. It also allows you to look at diamonds that you would not normally have been able to see, in your local jewelry store.
This, is such a diamond.
since the cutter is a friend of mine, I can also tell you certain things about how this diamond came to be cut. In fact, he is losing money on this diamond. It's not often that this situation occurs, and here's the reason why it did. The diamond, in the rough, was slightly deceptive. Slightest difference in shade and this diamond could have been Fancy Intense Yellow. If the stone didn't polish to fancy intense yellow, it could be worth another hundred thousand dollars.

COLOR
this color is incredibly attractive to me. It's very difficult to capture with the camera. Look at the video, and the pictures and you start to get the idea. in the photo below, you can see where it looks kind of orangey.
