The star of the show- 3.01
Fancy Intense Diamond prior to setting
It might
seem odd to make a case that a diamond of this price is "inexpensive".
But if you check prices on a 3 carat Fancy Intense Yellow VS diamonds, you'll
find prices over $50k are common
The diamond
has a GIA "Color Origin" report- this type of GIA report, offered only for
colored diamonds does not mention clarity. I'd say that GIA would give the stone
SI2- but it is possible to see the imperfection if you have very sharp eyes.
This small "carbon garden" is the sole reason for the lower price.
It's saving
you more than twenty grand- and it's hard to see under the best of
circumstances. I can see it more clearly in the photo below than I can in real
life.
Notice how
the spot disappears in a lot of the photos. That is the nature of the spot in
real life as well. The
cut of this cushion produces what we like to call " A bucket of Crushed Lemon
Ice" effect. Much of the time, this just swallows up the carbon.
The sparkle
is amazing- even in dim lighting.
The color,
an incredibly yellow yellow. A lovely stone. We chose to make a "Statement Ring"

THE RING
The stones
directly surrounding the large cushion average .08cts each. That's actually
pretty large.
There are stones set down the side of the shank as well. These are slightly
larger than .01ct each.
Even though it's a sizable ring, it's designed with comfort in mind. It sits
fairly low to the finger, all things considered.
A truly remarkable ring, for a remarkable stone. A work of art- that is how we
look at making these one of a kind pieces.
