I generally think of Indian Diamonds as less expensive stones.Although the cut has improved a ton- Indian goods have suffered a reputation for being badly cut.Years ago, it was a true statement.Today, the cut of Indian diamonds has improved greatly.Still, we do not use Indian Diamonds for our smaller stones. There are still superior cutting factories elsewhere in the world.Most of the smaller diamonds we use are cut in Belgium, Russia, China, and a few other places.When it comes to Fancy Colors, a different set of rules apply.

CLARITY
SI2- overall, the stone is very clean. There's a few small spots, which caused me to grade the diamond SI2. You can see them in the photos, and might be able to see them in real life. They are never a detraction- if for no other reason that the color is so deep, that's what you'll see.
CUT
A great interpretation of an "Asscher/Emerald" type of stone.
Great corners, and profile. Because the diamond is not deep, it looks more like a 2 carat than a 1.50.
COLOR
Deep, rich Brown Color.
THE RING
For this amazing Asscher-like stone, we chose a particularly nice pair of colorless Asscher/Emerald matching side diamond- total of 1.06 carats.
