Looking at the GIA report, you may notice GIA used the term "Fancy Yellow Uneven"
I have inspected this diamond under extreme scrutiny and can't find anything uneven about it.- but it does save you over $1000 on the price. Fancy Yellow Emerald Cuts- being as rare as they are- cost more than a similar graded Radiant.
Natural Yellow Emerald Cuts are quite rare. Most of the diamonds of this color are cut into Radiant cut. The reason is that it's harder to coax all the natural yellow out of the rough diamond with less facets- and a radiant has a lot more facets than an emerald cut.
Still, this one really does well in presenting a beautiful lemon yellow face.
The side diamonds are totally colorless. Beautifully matched, and extremely well cut.
The ring is perfectly proportioned, custom made in 18karat white and yellow gold.
This is a totally eye clean VS2 diamond, as graded by GIA. If you know our stuff, you know that I really don't care what color a diamond is- I find all colors to be pretty- IF they are well cut.
